Setting up your Divi Wallet

If you’re reading this, chances are this is your first crypto wallet. Welcome! We’re happy you chose Divi Wallet.

Divi Wallet is designed from the ground up with the user in mind, so you should have no trouble setting up your wallet, even if you’re completely new to crypto. However, if you’re struggling with the process, or you just want to understand it further, we’ve broken down each of the steps below.

👉 Download Divi Wallet here

Onboarding

Once the Divi Wallet download is complete, you can begin!

  1. Press “Create a new Wallet”
  2. Read and accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
  3. Press “Create Free Account”
  4. Create 4 digit PIN

Completing your wallet profile

This section covers some of the profile related actions you can take.

  1. Verify phone number and/or email: Once your email and phone number are verified you have the option to let others find you via phone/email. Email and phone number verification are required to start the KYC process.
  2. Choose a unique DiviWallet username: When people want to send crypto to your DiviWallet you can tell them to send it to your username (@DiviWhale) instead of the typical confusing crypto wallet address. You can also input your full name and add a profile picture so people get to see your beautiful face, or you dog or some cringy political statement, every time your wallets interact
  3. Customize your profile: Here, you can set who sees what. This section allows you to toggle your info (full name, username, and pfp) between private and public and allows you to toggle email and phone number between discoverable/not discoverable.
  4. Enable notifications: Turn on notifications to keep track of wallet activity
  5. Enable touch ID: This will set touch ID as default instead of typing in a PIN

Your Backup Phrase (also called a seed phrase)

Your backup (seed phrase) is the key to true ownership of your assets. We encourage you to do this before sending any funds to your wallet, just to be safe! It is the only way to recover your wallet if you lose access, so treat it with this respect!

Complete KYC

In order to use the fiat on/off ramp services within the DiviWallet you must first go through a KYC process.

When proceeding through the KYC process make sure all details are correct and any photos/documents are as clear as possible. The KYC process is automated and as long as nothing gets flagged it goes quickly. If, however, there is any discrepancy or unreadable information there must be a manual review process that can take longer, so ensure the accuracy of the information you’re providing.

For KYC you’ll need to provide the following details:

  • Full name
  • DOB
  • Address
  • Taxpayer ID number
  • And a photo of one of these forms of ID:
  • Driver’s License
  • Government-Issued ID
  • Passport

Your details are verified by our banking partner and are never stored by Divi Wallet

If you’ve completed all of the steps above, you’re ready to explore all of Divi Wallet’s functionality!
